He flinched as she told him to leave - but last time, she hadn't meant it. So she must not this time either - right? It still didn't stop him from shrinking a bit for a moment - and then he noticed the tear tracks. He might not be able to overpower her physically - but he could overpower her hold on the door easily enough. He flicked a finger and the door pushed open, despite her efforts - thank god for magnetism - and he stepped in, eyes narrowing.
I told you I wasn't leaving again. You don't get to just walk out instead.
He grumbled, more hurt than angry. He didn't go in far - she obviously didn't want him here - but like hell he was leaving before he got an explanation. He leaned against the door frame, effectively blocking any chance she would have to close it if he even let her get so far as to try. He raised a hand to her cheek, thumb rubbing away the tear track - though it didn't stop her eyes from looking red. There wasn't much he could do there. He was silent for a moment, trying to stay angry that she'd lied - but he couldn't, not seeing her like this. He stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her, chin resting on her shoulder.
Now, stop lying and tell me what's wrong, Em. This is one of those 'need to know' moments, whether you like it or not.
He murmured softly, turning his face to bury into her neck a bit, trying to stay calm for her sake - but his heart was pounding worriedly, fingers clenching around the back of her shirt, holding on for dear life. Sure, he'd found her - but it still felt like he was losing her again, like she was slipping away. He pressed a soft kiss to her neck then, squeezing his eyes shut.
Seeing him as disheveled as he was, combined with the text he'd sent, just told her how he'd went to such great lengths to find her. Maybe she should have answered her phone after all, if she had obviously worried him so much. But she suspected that worry was about to end- as was their relationship. She could practically feel her heart break as she spoke again.
You'll leave anyways, if I tell you. And don't try to tell me you won't. It's happened before.
She was momentarily glad that she had cried as much as she did- she had no more tears left to cry by now, and if she did, they would be spilling out. She hesitated a moment as he wrapped his arms around her, forcing herself to not pull back. Instead, she lead him the rest of the way into the room, shutting the door behind them. He was right- this was one of those 'need to know' moments. She steeled herself, then, pulling away from him and moving to sit on the edge of the bed.
She didn't say anything right away- she had no doubt she'd have to tell him now, and he did deserve to know. Without realizing it, she brought a hand to her mouth and began biting nervously on her nails. She wasn't going to wait for him to sit down, though, before she finally broke the silence- if he was going to leave anyways, it would just be delaying the inevitable.

He had been about to protest - to say that he didn't are what she said, he wasn't going anywhere - but her last two words made anything he'd been about to say flee instantly - though his mouth still hung open a bit as he froze. It was only a few seconds later that he realized he was staring, jaw dropped, and forgetting to breath. There were a few silent false starts as he tried to find words, but failed. He spun, flopping to sit next to her, eyes staring at the floor, mind trying to wrap around the news.
I- But- We- Oh my god.
He couldn't even get a sentence out - couldn't formulate one in his head, even. Not really. She was pregnant. She was pregnant. Subconsciously, he reached for the hand she'd raised to her mouth, pulling it away and wrapping around it, clutching tightly. He didn't even wonder why she thought he would leave - mostly because he couldn't even get far enough in his thought process to figure out how he should be reacting to this. Only then did her words from before really sink in.
Wait- before? What-?
He may have been asking and sounding very much confused - but he was still distracted, and it definitely showed. He could come to terms with plenty of things quickly - but this was, he supposed, not bound to be one of those things. It wasn't even so much coming to terms with it, really, so much as letting it sink in - because right now, this didn't feel real. Not in the slightest. His grip on he hand tightened - no, she was right there. It was real. Only then did he react beyond sheer shock - and his hand broke from hers, arms quickly going back around her and clinging tightly, heart back to pounding frantically.
And, damnit, I'm not going anywhere, Em. Not a chance in hell. I'm here and I'm staying. Whatever happened before is not now.
He was staring- god, he was staring. He was going to leave after all. She waited for him to spin on his heel, to head for the door... But he didn't. He did the opposite, actually, instead moving to join her on the bed. His words did nothing to help her- but she didn't blame him for them, either. She'd said something similar when he'd given her the promise ring, after all- she just hoped this was more out of shock than of horror.
She ignored his question, hoping the revelation had been enough to make him not dwell on her earlier words too long. She was glad she did- in moments, his arms were around her, and she was leaning into him, burying her face in his neck. The tears must have not been entirely gone, though, because they were coming down her face again.
I don't know what to do.
Her arms wrapped around him, too, then, clinging to him with the same death grip he had on her. She was still afraid- he was nothing like John, she knew, and he may not be leaving, but her words spoke volumes. She didn't know what to do. But last time, it had just been her decision to make- now, it was Nikola's as well.
Oh, god. She was pregnant with Nikola's child. If that hadn't fully sunk in before, it sure as hell had now.
I- uh- I meant to leave a note, really. I just... needed some time.
She murmured- and it was true. She had fully intended to give him some kind of warning, and she'd needed time- time to come to terms with it, time to gather up enough courage to tell him, time to forget what John had done and move on- this wasn't John. This was Nikola. He loved her- and she loved him back. But part of her still worried; worried that, even if he wasn't leaving, that this would change things between them, that he'd just be the guy who knocked up Emily Prentiss and stuck around afterwards- that was more than could be said for John, at least.

Whatever you decide, Em, I'm right here. This doesn't... it doesn't have to change anything. I love you, you love me, that's all that matters. We'll figure it out.
He murmured, one arm loosening enough that he could raise his hand and stroke the back of her head, the fingers on his other hand making soft circles on her back. His eyes squeezed shut. This was unexpected at best - and it wasn't that he was terribly upset about it... He just wasn't ecstatic either. It wasn't like they'd planned this, after all. He wasn't sure he felt anything about it yet - it was too much of a surprise. She didn't know what to do - and he didn't know what to feel. There was an immense amount of relief, he knew that - but that was because this meant she hadn't intended on leaving.
I don't- I don't want to push, Em, really, but... But you said before. That's what you've always avoided telling me about, isn't it?
His voice was soft, hesitant - sure that if he said the wrong thing, she'd still just leave. He didn't let go of her go, and if anything, his grip tightened, turning his face into her neck again, eyes half-opening as he wondered just how long ago 'before' was. He wasn't stupid - he could connect the dots. Last time, whoever it was had walked out on her. It had to be before the BAU, because Morgan probably would have tried to use it to alienate him by now if not. Obviously something had happened - abortion, miscarriage, adoption - because she hadn't raised a child, not one of her own. There was a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach for a moment, though.
Just please tell me it wasn't Doyle. Then I'll leave it be until you're ready to talk about it, as best I can.
It couldn't be - he prayed it hadn't been. Anyone, any time in her life, he didn't care - so long as it wasn't that dead bastard. He doubted it, but he couldn't stop himself from asking, stop from hoping that doubt was rightly placed and it wasn't the terrorist.
Her voice was shaky even as she forced the single word out, her grip on him tightening. There was no keeping this from him anymore; she'd let something slip, and he had a right to know. She half expected him to leave anyways, to pull away and walk out- and if he did that, she knew she wouldn't be able to take it. He may have said he wasn't going to leave, but that didn't stop her from being scared as hell to think that it was still a possibility, no matter how unlikely.
His next words caused her to tense up even more, and she wasn't sure whether his hope that it hadn't been Doyle was a good thing or not. He could mean it for her sake- hoping she'd never had to go through carrying a terrorist's child against her will. But there was also the chance that he meant it differently, and that had she been referring to Doyle, things would change between them- but, regardless of her fears, she wasn't going to let his worries go unaccounted for.
No- it- it wasn't Doyle. God, no...
She didn't bother bringing Declan into the conversation, mostly because she assumed he already knew that Declan wasn't hers- that her only connection to the boy was through her years undercover with Doyle. She was relieved when Nikola said he'd leave the topic alone until she was ready to talk about it, though she knew she'd have to tell him anyways- his last four words ensured that. She was tired of keeping secrets from him, even when those secrets may very well cause him to leave.
I-I never told you much about John Cooley, did I?
She shivered, then, more out of uneasiness than out of being cold. The fear that he would leave was still so real in her mind- or that this would change things between them. That this would make him love her any less. That this was the beginning of the end to their relationship. What 'this' was, she wasn't sure anymore- the pregnancy or the confession- but she didn't care. She held him all the tighter, silently begging him not to go, before continuing her explanation.
I was fifteen and- we moved around a lot, my mother and I. And when you're fifteen, you'll do just about anything to fit in.
She left it there- the rest was easy enough to piece together. However, she forced herself to let go of him, letting her arms fall back to her sides as she pulled back a little bit. As much as she didn't want him to leave, she wasn't going to outright prevent him from going- it was his right, after all. And she wouldn't blame him; this was far from planned, and at her age, rather inconvenient. Neither of them had the time or patience to raise a kid- she just didn't know what to do. However, she did let a few more words slip out.
There. Now you know. I- I won't blame you if you leave.

There was a sigh of relief that it hadn't been Doyle. It wasn't so much that it would change things - he just hadn't wanted to think she'd go quite that far for a job. Carrying a terrorist's child? That was too far for him to fathom. At least he didn't have to. He said nothing for the rest, not at first - he'd let her finish - though he placed a soft kiss on her jaw as her grip tightened.
Ah, John. It made sense, really - he'd suspected there was something more to him than just being a childhood friend. But he wouldn't get after her for it. She was young, desperate - people made mistakes. It was a fact of life. It just made her human. Then, she was pulling away and he looked at her worriedly, though he didn't let his arms drop from around her, even though he let her have her space - as much as that would allow, anyway. He sighed as she mentioned he could leave again, and one arm fell from around her so his fingers could interlace with hers.
I'm not leaving, Em. At least, not leaving you. Leaving this hotel, however, I would be glad to do - so long as you come with me.
He reassured her, squeezing her hand slightly as he moved to stand. The arm still around her fell away as he did, and he paused in front of her before tipping her chin up to kiss her properly. He kept it brief, though he didn't pull back more than enough to break their lips apart when he ended it. His eyes looked to hers.
Let's go home, Em. You don't have to hide out here. We'll have to make a stop at ISIT, though - I forgot to stop the searches for you that were still going. And anyway, I still need to show you the Biome. May as well do it now, since we'll be there. Or are you really set on staying in this hotel for the night?
He was beginning to settle again, that much was obvious - by the end, he'd raised his eyebrows a bit, looking vaguely amused. At the thought of her staying in the hotel now that he knew, of course - the situation itself wasn't really funny at all. But he'd make the best of it. He had to - he wasn't losing her if he had any say in the matter.
She met his eyes as the kiss ended, but despite his words, the doubt was still there- the doubt and the pain. She knew it was completely illogical, that he loved her and he wasn't leaving, but she still felt that fear that he would change his mind, or that it would all be too much for him. However, she didn't dwell on it for long before he spoke, and she gave a shaky nod.
No- no, we can go. But is now really the best time to show me the Biome?
Still, she stood up and, not dropping his hand, reached over to the foot of the bed where she had set her suitcase. She was momentarily glad that she hadn't so much as opened it yet- at least they didn't have to wait for her to gather her things. Wiping her eyes with her free hand, she almost started for the door before stopping for a moment, turning to look at him.
This... this isn't just my decision to make, you know. You're just as much a part of this as I am.
And, like it or not, it was true- he was the father, there was no doubt to that. And he wasn't leaving. Those combined facts, not to mention the fact that she wanted this to be his decision as much as hers- gave him every responsibility to give his input in what they ended up doing. She was conflicted enough herself- she was too old to be a mother, yet she wasn't eager to have an abortion- not again. His opinion meant just as much to her as her own, when it came to this.
What do you think we should do?

He murmured softly as she stood, grabbing her things. He gave her hand a small squeeze as she wiped her eyes, but her next words found him wrapping his free arm around her again, kissing her once more and letting this one linger a bit more before he rested his forehead against hers.
It may be partly my decision, Em, but it's your body. You get the final say, not me. But we've got time. We don't have to figure it out right away. So lets just give it a few days, so we don't rush into any decisions, alright? It's something worth at least thinking about first.
His voice was soft, but despite the internal turmoil, it stayed steady and sure. She needed someone to turn to - especially him. So, he'd be her rock, her support - and he'd do it gladly. Admittedly, his first instinct was to tell her to not keep it - but he knew most of that was fear talking. Kids had never liked him, and he'd liked very few of them - it was a frightening prospect, becoming a father, given those facts. But a small part of him wanted to tell her to keep it. It may have been unplanned, and he might be scared right through to the bone, but there was still some vague sense of pride and protectiveness. Something that told him that something about this was right - even if his head told him otherwise.
He stayed there a moment, making sure she knew he meant it - every word of it, including the fact he'd be thinking about it which was implied - then he unwrapped his arm from around her and led her out the door and down to his car. They could get hers tomorrow, and his was closer. He led her to the passenger's side and opened the door for her before grabbing her suitcase and popped the trunk to put it in. He was in the driver's seat a few moments later, holding a hand out for her to take if she wanted it, starting up the car and driving with the other hand.
It didn't take long to get to the building. It didn't look very big - and it hit him she'd never been to the headquarters here. From the outside, it looked like a small government facility. Well protected, yes - though the systems were more complicated than they appeared - but nothing more than a small building for offices and things. He parked the car and slid around to open her door, taking her hand in his. He said nothing as he led her through the front door - and the size of the place became much clearer the moment they stepped in. There was an open center for many floors down, the path around the edges extending out into hallways and various wings once they got down a level. From here, though, it was just a place to look down - as well as stairs and, off to each side, elevators. There was a small offshoot for security up here, but nothing else. The holding cells, labs, offices - they were all below ground. He cast her a small smile that was undeniably proud.
She gave a small nod at his response, not pushing the topic further for the meantime. He was right- it was her body, but it was his child, too. While she may have the final say, she still wanted his honest opinion- though, she supposed, he was probably too shocked to know what that honest opinion was at the moment. And, admittedly, she wasn't that much better herself- they couldn't possibly keep it, but at the same time, she didn't necessarily want an abortion. She had regretted getting one at fifteen enough; now, twenty seven years later, not to mention the fact that Nikola was the father- she didn't think she could bring herself to do it.
She followed him to his car without protest, and accepted his hand when he offered it. Otherwise, the drive was rather uneventful- neither of them spoke much during the ride. She was curious to see the ISIT headquarters, though. She hadn't had the chance to- between work and generally spending time with him, she hadn't exactly had the chance or the reason to visit it. It looked small enough from the outside, though she assumed the majority of its facilities were underground- that's how the Old City Sanctuary worked, at least, and this couldn't be all that much different.
Even as he led her through the front door, she realized that this was no typical office building, not that she had expected it to be one- for one, on the inside, it was easier to tell just how huge the building actually was. She let her hand fall from his and moved towards the edge of the open center, peering over the railing with raised eyebrows before turning back to him.
This place is huge- how could its construction go unnoticed?
She returned to glancing around the building again, or at least, what part she could see from her current vantage point. She felt momentarily embarrassed- he'd enlisted a good deal of ISIT to help search for her, from what she knew. She hadn't intended to scare him like that, let alone have his employees drop everything to find where she'd gone. She cursed silently once more for forgetting to leave a note, or not answering the phone call- though she assumed that may not have stopped him, not unless she had told him where she was.

The top was built first - the rest was dug out with the assistance of certain abnormals who actually eat dirt. So we didn't have to worry about it getting taken away or anything. Once it's dug out, it's not exactly difficult to keep construction out of sight - materials brought in overnight, worked on during the day, stuff like that. They finished a little while back, though it was already half done when I started. C'mon.
He replied, having moved over to stand next to her, peering down with a smile. Perhaps he hadn't built it - but he ran it. It was his, every last bit of it. Not officially - officially, it was the UN's - but still. He took her hand again after his explanation and led her to the closest elevator. They'd need to get to the bottom floor, after all - the Biome took up the height of all the underground floors, though it couldn't be seen from here. That had been what had taken the longest to build - at least, compared to specific sections. Getting the terrain in, with all the plant life - that had been easy. UNIT had a small-scale terraforming device that they'd allowed ISIT to borrow for it. It had since been slightly landscaped - paths added in, as well as a few fountains and benches here and there - but for the most part, it was still just as wild. The sky had been tricky - and he'd been the one to design it, as well, although he'd needed a bit of assistance implementing it over such a large area.
When they reached the bottom floor, he stepped out of the elevator and he felt his heart swell with pride - the hallway lights flickered on in a branching out pattern at the movement. The hall was easily wide enough - and lit brightly enough that it would be easy to forget just how far underground you were. His eyes were set on the glass doors at the end of the hall, however, and he walked quickly towards them. They swept open automatically as they neared, then shut behind them. The Biome stayed relatively dark, though there was the soft chirping of crickets in the background - real ones, not a soundtrack. He glanced up - the sky was set to 'cloudy night' right now, though the 'moon' peeked through a bit from behind a cloud. He led her a bit in, then turned to face her, grin having shifted slightly to something that was clearly a bit nervous.
I was waiting for some sort of special moment for this... A big case solved, some sort of important holiday... stuff like that. But- well, I mean, it is sort of a special occasion, really, though I... I got a bit caught off guard so it's not quite... quite set up. Just... just wait there.
He didn't give her a chance to argue before ducking into the foliage - which was more on the tropical rainforest side, really - and disappearing into the brush. He fiddled with a panel off in there, peering up through the branches - ah, there. He had all of a few seconds before the clouds were done clearing. He dashed back out, making more than enough noise that it would be obvious it was him. They didn't have too much life in here yet - they hadn't quite gotten that far yet. He slid in behind her, hands landing on her shoulders to keep her from turning, then raised one hand to point up to the 'sky'.
Look up.
The words were soft, not quite a request but not quite an order either. His hand fell from pointing, but not back to her shoulder. It slid in his pocket instead as he took a step back, fighting to keep his breathing steady as his fingers closed around the box in his pocket - he'd taken to carrying it with him, just in case she'd stopped by to visit him at work or something came up. It was a good thing he had. He let his other hand fall from her shoulder, pulling the box out and fiddling with it a moment, biting his lower lip and sending a quick glance up. The clouds had just parted enough to show the stars, which were shifting into place. Now or never. He knelt down on one knee - and it was a good thing the stars were spelling out what he wanted to say, cause he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to speak even if he wanted to, as he popped box open and looked up, watching her and waiting as the stars finally settling into place, spelling out just two words - "Marry Me."

She followed him into the Biome and was immediately impressed by how realistic it was- how natural it was. It was, for lack of a better term, beautiful. She hadn't had a long time to dwell on it, though, when he was stammering something about it not being ready, and she watched him disappear into the undergrowth, somewhat puzzled but not protesting. She resorted to letting her eyes wander, then. It was no wonder he had wanted her to see this place- it was a hell of a lot more extraordinary than anything she'd seen firsthand, that was for sure.
She turned her head to glance at him over her shoulder as he appeared behind her, though she didn't have much of a chance to say anything before he was telling her to look up. Her gaze followed his finger, and she found her eyes focused on the sky once more. The clouds were parting, though, revealing a bright starry sky- but the stars were moving. They were aligning themselves in some way, forming... were those letters? And then she was able to read the words they had formed, and she swore her heart stopped.
She only kept her gaze on the sky long enough to ensure that she wasn't just seeing things- that the stars had actually spelled out what she thought they had- before spinning to face him, and that confirmed it for her. He was down on one knee- the great Nikola Tesla, down on one knee- with the box open in his hands, and the ring- oh, god, it put the promise ring to shame. It was stunning- no, 'stunning' wasn't a good enough word. But that wasn't what she was focused on right now. This wasn't about the ring. Nikola was asking her to marry him. He was asking her to marry him.
Without even realizing it, a hand had flown to cover her mouth at the sight- and, dammit, tears had welled up in her eyes once more, though for a completely different purpose. These were tears of joy, tears of happiness, tears of euphoria. Whatever term you chose to use to describe it; it didn't matter. But then she realized that she hadn't given him an answer, or a response of some sort. She managed a shaky yet eager nod, finally trusting herself with a response.
Yes- god, Nikola, yes.

He didn't breath or even move as he waited for a response of some sort - the look of shock wasn't lost on him, but he needed more than shock. The moment he heard the first half of the first syllable, his look of nervous apprehension had shifted to an ecstatic grin and he was on his feet, reaching for her hand by the time she finished her whole response. He took the ring out of the box, only noticing now his hands were shaking as he tried to slip the ring on her finger - and nearly missed the first time, too. He flushed a bit at that, but said nothing regarding it, though he did stammer into some nonsense that was typical of him.
I- I'd been working on that stupid sky for days to get it to do that. And I was going to have roses, too, but nothing's open this late, but I just- after the fight, I got the ring, and I was going to wait, but then today I- I thought you were leaving and I-
Oh dear - there he was, rambling again. And was that the prickle of tears? Probably - and likely the ones he'd managed to hold back before, when he'd come home to find the apartment empty and nearly had a heart attack when she'd lied to him and said it was a work trip. He closed his eyes to stop them, then pressed his lips to hers, holding the kiss as long as his lungs would let him, the fingers of one hand lacing through the fingers of her left hand, the other arm wrapping around her. As he broke the kiss, his forehead stayed against hers, eyes opening a bit.
I don't want to lose you, Em - I can't lose you. I need you. I love you.
He kissed her again, pulling her closer, though this kiss didn't last nearly as long - it was difficult to let it, given the fact he'd returned to grinning like an idiot. She was his - she'd said yes. Okay, sure, she was pregnant and he wasn't entirely sure what to think on that front - but he didn't even care. She said yes! He brought her hand up a bit then, grin widening at the sight of the ring on her finger - if it was even possible for his grin to grow.
I know it isn't the traditional diamond but- you like it?
Despite his question - arising from those little insecurities that she'd probably come to expect from him by now - the grin didn't fade. If she didn't like it, the ring could be replaced with another - the ring wasn't the point. The point was she had said yes. He'd have to rub that one in Morgan and Mickey Mouse's faces sometime. Not the marrying type - hah! He'd proved them wrong - even if, at this stage, it was still technically nothing more than an engagement.

She hadn't known it was possible to be this happy- hadn't known euphoria like this existed- but apparently, it did. Even as he struggled to slip the ring onto her finger, her face mirrored his ecstatic expression. And, despite his rambling, she definitely wasn't complaining as his lips crashed against hers, and she was kissing back with equal fervor, her free hand running its fingers through his already messy hair as the kiss continued.
She wasn't sure how she managed to suppress the grin long enough to hold the kiss that long, but she had, and that was all that mattered. No, he was all that mattered. And this was perfect. The smile reappeared at his words, though she was once again holding it back for the sake of responding to the newest kiss. Unfortunately, one could only hold back a grin for so long after becoming engaged, and she was forced to pull back from it around the same time as him.
Her eyes found the ring as he raised her hand a bit, and she could've sworn her heart was doing little flips inside her chest by now. She didn't care if it was diamond or not- the gemstone didn't make a difference to her. It was what the ring signified that made her smile grow a bit wider. But she had to admit- it was beautiful. Completely and undoubtedly beautiful.

She kissed him again then, this time pulling her hand away from his to wrap both arms around him, her fingers entwining behind his neck as her lips collided with his. Screw maintaining some semblance of professionalism- he practically ran the place, after all, and they were alone in the Biome, as far as she knew. But even if they weren't, she didn't care- god, this was perfect. No one could ruin this moment right now; no one could take away this happiness. She had to cut the kiss short early as the grin threatened to return, though she didn't remove her arms from around him, her next words spilling out as if of their own accord.
You're not gonna lose me. You're never gonna lose me. I need you, too. I love you. I love you so much.
Then, grin or not, she was unable to restrain herself any longer. She began peppering kisses along his neck and jaw, stopping occasionally to catch his lips with her own for a brief second before returning to her previous actions. Okay, so maybe this wasn't the ideal place for this- but like hell she wasn't going to kiss him, and tell him just how much she loved him. How much she needed him, just as he needed her.

For a short while, he simply enjoyed the moment - the kisses, the closeness, all of it - and was returning the kisses to his neck with ones to hers, but he did pull back just enough to stop her for a moment, though his arms stayed around her. Or, at least, one did. The other slipped away, his hand rising to cup her cheek a moment.
There are, however, security cameras in here. Gimme a second to turn them off.
He murmured, though he didn't want to break away. He gave her one kiss - though it was supposed to be quick, it lingered anyway - then pulled away a moment, back through the trees and back to the panel. Turning off the cameras - and sending a message through the wiring to the screens of the security people to not come down or else they were fired - he locked down the doors while he was at it, then returned. He wasted no time in wrapping his arms back around her, kissing her again.
Now, where were we?
He whispered softly with a grin, not waiting for an answer before he was back at her neck, laying down a trail a kisses along her jaw, her neck, her collarbone - and he'd gotten a bit braver with the teeth now that he never had any intention of ever being revamped (coupled with the fact that he'd used up almost all the source blood in research at this point anyway). He still hadn't got to nibbling - but there was definitely a bit more pressure, like back in London. He managed to slip a few more word out, however breathless they were.
